Federal Army Killed Nine Civilians in Moyale

At least nine people were killed, and more than fifteen were wounded by members of the Ethiopian Army in the Ethio-Kenya border town of Moyale on March 10, 2018. The Reporter and Addis Standard reported the incident.

The Reporter’s account reveals that over 9000 people crossed the border to Kenya following the March 10 violence.Addis Standard quoted Defense Minister Siraj Fegessa, who stated that the people were mistaken for members of the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF). He also mentioned that five army members are under investigation.
