Addis Standard reported that a grenade explosion killed three people and wounded more than 50 in Moyale town. The town’s Communication bureau attributed the attack to the Somali region’s special force members at the bus station.
According to the report, eyewitnesses informed a Kenyan-based media outlet that two people were killed, and over 20 were injured. Hospital sources also reported that eight people sustained gunshot wounds but were in stable conditions. In response to the incident, the Oromia regional state accused the federal army of failing to secure public safety during the state of emergency.
