Regional Leadership Involved in Ethnic Based Attacks in Benishangul-Gumuz

The Prosperity Party of Benishangul Gumuz has sacked senior members of the party, including the region’s speaker of the house and a member of the Central Committee. According to the report, Ato Yishak Abdulkadir, the head of the region’s ruling party, stated that the attacks in Metekel were ethnically motivated, and some senior officials of the regional leadership were implicated.
