According to a report from Addis Maleda , on June 2, 2022, two civilians were killed and three individuals were abducted by the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) and Gembella Liberation Front. The Gambela region’s Communications Affairs Office stated that a man and a woman were killed while working on a farm, and two men and a woman were kidnapped.
According to the Communications Affairs Office, this incident was not the first time that these two groups attempted to disrupt peace and order in the region. The Office appeals for the cooperation of residents in supporting government measures to address these groups’ activities.
