Five people killed in a Recent attack in Gambela 

Five people were killed and an unconfirmed number were injured in an attack that occurred in Jejebe, on the outskirts of Gambela town, as reported by The Reporter. The administrator of the Gambela regional government, Umod Ujulu, stated that the Gambela Liberation Front was responsible for the attack. According to the administrator, on Sunday, August 29, 2021, one person was killed and some were injured, and further violence following the incident resulted in the deaths of four more individuals.

The regional administrator claims that the Gambela Liberation Front, in collaboration with OLF and OLA, resorted to armed struggle after being defeated in the June 2021 election. He emphasized that the conflict is not ethnically related and that the perpetrators are currently in custody in the region.
