Residents of Burka town in the Afar region told Addis Maleda that Shene attacked them on December 23, 2021, and killed several civilians. Sources informed Addis Maleda that Shene, also known as the Oromo Liberation Army, had previously attacked the town. The number of victims in both attacks has not been identified.
